SYUC, HU declared joint winners of 7th State Level Men Hockey Championship

IMPHAL, Dec 1 : The two finalists of 7th State Level Men Hockey Championship SYUC, Uchekon Khunou and HU, Lairikyengbam Leikai were declared joint winners although the final match held on November 30 was not able to complete.

Manipur Hockey which is organising the championship, in a statement informed all its affiliated clubs or units that the final match between SYUC and HU was postponed owing to power supply inconveniences. And considering the inconveniences of some players in the two teams, who are serving outside the state, an emergency meeting of the tournament committee with officials of participating teams was convened today and it was resolved that the two teams be declared as joint winners, the statement continued.
