Final pact at hand : NSCN (IM)

DIMAPUR, Dec 18: NSCN-IM chairman, Q Tuccu today reminded the “Tatar Hoho Winter Session” (Parliament Session) that the Indo-Naga political negotiation is “making positive progress" and urged the members to stand firm without losing sight of the final goal that lies ahead. Q Tuccu believed that a political settlement that is honorable and acceptable to both the parties would be arrived at the earliest through sincerity and political commitment, according to a statement of the NSCN-IM.
The NSCN-IM chairman acknowledged the contributions of all Nagas that including Church organizations, civil society organizations, student organizations and rank and file of NSCN-IM who "unceasingly prayed for the success of the Indo-Naga political talk at a crucial stage, finally leading to the breakthrough and understanding on October 31, 2019 in the talks in New Delhi", the statement added.
According to the statement, the NSCN-IM chairman said that reconciliation and unity are a matter of necessity, but it should be based on Naga National principle.
“NSCN is of the stand that the Framework Agreement is not only the basis of solution to the long drawn Indo-Naga political problem but also the uniting point for all the Nagas,” Q Tuccu added.
 The NSCN-IM chairman also drew the attention of the house to the point that “NSCN is passing through a crucial period that demands members to be cautious to help smooth governance and administration that will go to strengthen the security strategy and financial stability”.
Earlier in the day, Q Tuccu, paid revolutionary salutes to all the Naga martyrs and their widowed wives and orphaned children. “He expressed his concern and prayed that God grant them divine providence to sustain their lives,” the NSCN-IM added.
