FRWC sticks to boycott stand

IMPHAL, Dec 5 : Football Referee Welfare Committee (FRWC), Manipur has reiterated its stand to continue boycott and abstain from refereeing AMFA (All Manipur Football Association) organised tournaments.
The decision to stop refereeing was taken on December 1 after AMFA failed to take an appropriate action regarding an on-field incident during a match of the 10th AMFA Senior Women Football League for BM Singh Trophy 2019 on October 18.
FRWC also convened an emergency meeting today in connection with the involvement of few referees in the 62nd CC Meet-2019 which is being organised by All Manipur Football Association. During the meeting it was resolved to sideline Kh Ranjit Singh (IWDFA), L Gokulananda Sharma (IWDFA) and Johny Chothe (DSA Bpr) from the FRWC until further notice for violating its Code of Conduct and their involvement in the tourney against FRWC's decision.
The committee also resolved to sideline any member of FRWC apart from the above three referees if they are found conducting further match with immediate effect.
