No more factional killings, says KNO/KRA-U

KANGPOKPI, Dec 7: While observing the 5th death anniversary of its former Chairman Paokhothang Chongloi today, Kuki Revolutionary Army-Unification (KRA-U) under the umbrella of Kuki National Organization, an entity of the tripartite talks with the Government of Manipur and Government of India appealed all Kuki UG groups to refrain from factional killing.
The outfit information and publicity secretary, Samu Doungel said that its former Chairman Paokhothang Chongloi was killed in a factional killing on December 7, 2014.
Stating that the former chairman was a visionary and committed leader whose principle is to spread love and not hatred, Samu continued that the former chairman considered cadres of all Kuki UG groups as his own brothers and sisters.
"The killing of Paokhothang Chongloi angered us but not to the extent of taking revenge upon the culprits as factional killing is not a solution to any problem", he added.
He also said the death anniversary is being observed to let the world know that KNO/KRA-U is firmly against factional killing. It is also a message to all Kuki UG groups to stop factional killing among us once and for all, he continued.
Samu Doungel also extended Christmas wishes to all  Kuki UG groups.
A one minute silence was observed during a condolence service as part of the observation of death anniversary and pay tribute to the departed soul.
