Seminar on crimes against women held

IMPHAL, Dec 7: A one day seminar on 'Increasing crime against women under the saggy information, security/law and the impacts of social media in the context of Manipur', at Manipur University Linguistics Department today.
The seminar was organised jointly by MU Women's Studies Centre and Manipur Upliftment Centre, Uchiwa, under the aegis of National Commission for Women.
Senior journalist Yambem Laba, DM College of Arts Principal Dr Chungkham Shreelaramani, MU Linguistics Department HoD Professor N Pramodini and social activist Ranjita Elangbam attended the seminar as the presidium members.
The seminar, which consisted of two sessions, had many professors, research scholars, advocates and police officers talking on various subjects related to women and crime.
