SMSU urges

IMPHAL, Dec 7
Decrying the decision of Bus Authorities (based in Shillong) of increasing the bus fare from Shillong to Imphal, Shillong Manipuri Students' Union (SMSU) has appealed the authorities concerned to provide 50 percent concession for students. A press release issued by external affairs secretary, SMSU stated that the bus fare was increased from Rs 800 to Rs 1200 while adding that this will be inconvenient for the students.
In regard to this matter, SMSU submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister N Biren and Education Minister to intervene  while appealing the Bus Authorities in Shillong to be considerate of the students.
It stated that the union has also submitted a representation to the manager in charge of Bus Authorities as well.
