Training prog on beekeeping held

JIRIBAM, Dec 8: Friendly Environment Warriors (FEW) Jiribam in collaboration with the New Incarnation (Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addiction), Kalinagar organised a beekeeping training programme at the auditorium hall of the latter, today.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest of the function, K Saratkumar, Vice Chairman of Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited (MFICL) cum chief advisor of FEW.
On the occasion, K Saratkumar said that the programme was organised to provide impart the knowledge of beekeeping and honey production so that the problem of unemployment could be solved at some extent in the district .
Assuring that possible help will be extended from his side to make beekeeping and honey production businesses a success in the district, he added that he will bear the cost required for making bee boxes.
He also said that the training programme will be organised for the inmates of the New Incarnation (IRCA).
The programme was also attended by project co-ordinator of IRCA, S Jiten Singh, president FEW, K Puna Singh and Managing Director, Bee Care & Research Centre Hilghat, H Rajen Kumar Singh (State Awardee) as the presidium members.
H Rajen Kumar was the trainer of two training programme which was conducted in two sessions.
Over 70 trainees took part in the programme.
