KANGPOKPI, Dec.8: No matter what you are and who you are, a prayer for where you live and your leaders is a sign of caring. With this idea the Kuki Baptist Convention, Centre Church Kangpokpi held a special worship service for Kangpokpi DHQs and the Town Authority, KTC (Kangpokpi Town Committee) this afternoon at the Church.
The Church authority under the leadership of Rev Lamkeng Lhouvum, Pastor KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi also had love feast with the town authority before the worship service.
Apart from special mass prayer session led by the Board of Deacon of the Church, the KBC Centre Church also presented a Christmas gift to each of the seventeen members of the Town Committee as a blessing for their future endeavours.
The Church also pray for a peaceful Kangpokpi DHQs and serene environment, prosperity, unity and development while it also pray the Almighty to provide the leaders of KTC with the wisdom to guide the people in the right direction.
Speaking to media persons, Rev Lamkeng Lhouvum, Pastor KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi said that it is the decision of the Church authority to organize a special worship service for the town and concerned leaders for the welfare of all living together at Kangpokpi DHQs.
He continued that the elected members of Kangpokpi Town Committee are very dedicated and hard workers.
Apart from physical and moral support to the Town Committee, we considered the public can do much more thing for their wisdom beyond their understanding, grace and courage to make sound decisions for the town and its people, through prayer, the Pastor added.
He further said that the special worship service also prayed for the prosperity and safety of the town and the people of Kangpokpi DHQs.
Meanwhile, KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi has extended Christmas wishes to all the people of Kangpokpi District and the State.
