MUSU election on Dec 18

The office of the Returning Officer, MUSU Election 2019-20 Manipur University has notified all the concerned that the election of the office bearers (president, general secretary, finance secretary, cultural secretary and sports secretary), class representatives of all departments/centres and a representative of PhD Scholars of MUSU 2019-20 will be held on December 18.
A press release issued by Assistant Registrar stated that the last date of filing nomination paper/forum is December 12 upto 4.30 pm while scrutiny of the candidates will be carried out on December 13 at the Centenary hall, MU at 11 am.
The cost of nomination paper is Rs 100 and a security deposit of presidentship/secretaryship is Rs 1000, it said.
Withdrawal of nomination paper/form has been set on December 14 up to 11 am at the office of the RO, MU and the date and time of poll is December 18 from 8 am till 12 noon at Old Social Sciences Block, MU.
The counting of votes will be carried out on December 18 at Dr Kamal Indoor Stadium while the result will be declared on the same day.
Security deposits for the selected candidates will be refunded whereas deposits for the unsuccessful candidates will not be refunded and 50 percent security deposits in respect of candidate(s), who have withdrawn their nomination papers will be refunded.
It continued that nomination papers can be obtained from the office of the RO (Dean of Students' Welfare Office) from December 9.
The duly sealed filled-up nomination forms along with particulars of the candidate(s) with recent photographs attested by HoD of the department concerned will be received by the  RO during office hours till December 12 up to 4.30 pm.
Nomination forms will be examined by the election committee for eligibility of the candidature.
Nomination form submitted after 4.30 pm of December 12 will not be entertained, it added.
