Manipur Sub-Jr Women's hockey team flagged off

IMPHAL, May 11
A team of Manipur Hockey for the ensuing 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship 2019 to be held at Jaipur, Rajasthan from May 15 to 25 were flagged off by former Indian Women Hockey Captain and Arjuna Awardee W Surjalata from Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium today.
Members of Executive Board of the association were also present in the flagging off ceremony, said a statement of Manipur Hockey. Manipur Hockey are clustered in the Pool A along with Hockey Patiala, Chhattisgarh Hockey, Andhra Hockey Association and Bengal Hockey Association. The State team will meet Hockey Patiala in its opening encounter before facing Andhra Pradesh on May 17. Manipur will meet Chhattisgarh in their third match on May 19 and will take on Bengal Hockey Association on May 20 in the last Pool A league match.
