TKWA TrophyKYC thrash LAM 3-0, Ayangleima edge past Sekmai Ningthou 2-1

IMPHAL, May 13 : KYC, Tentha opened up their Group B league campaign with a 3-0 thrashing of Lam FC Chandrakhong while Ayangleima, Tentha edged past Sekmai Ningthou, Keirak by 2-1 goals in a Group C league match of the TKWA Trophy 2019 which kicked off yesterday at Tentha Khongbal Multiplex Ground.
The soccer tournament organised by Tentha Khongbal Welfare Association is featuring a total of 33 teams clubbed into 11 groups. KYC dominated LAM right from the beginning in the Group B league match of the day and Binand was in prolific form as he scored twice including the opener in the 7th and the 19th minute. Nabin Rana then hit the final goal of the match in the 21st minute of the match.
Meanwhile in the Group C league match, Ayangleima rode on goals by Kishan (19') and Jackson (30') to beat Sekmai Ningthou by 2-1 goals. The lone goal of the Keirak side was scored by Joirishan in the 25th minute.
Yesterday in the opening match of the tournament, Udanata ran riot against the defence line of Wangoi FC to slot home four goals alone (2nd, 16th 17th and 55th minutes) and gave Mami Thawan a gigantic 7-1 win. Bidyasagar scored two late goals (56', 59') while Milan scored a single (42') to set up the huge win for Mami Thawan. The solitary goal of the Wangoi side was scored by Angousana in the 30th minute of the match.
