3 hurt in storm

IMPHAL, May 14: Following the storm which occurred during the wee hours of yesterday morning, a woman and her two daughters, who were sleeping, sustained injuries after  a wall collapsed at Singjamei Chingamakha Kshetri Leikai.
According to a source, the first floor wall of a newly constructed building just adjacent to the residence of one Yendrembam Surjitkumar collapsed due to the strong winds and fell on the GI sheet roof of Surjitkumar's residence.
His wife Brojeshori (48) and their two daughters, Hanny (15) and Harina (13), were injured in the incident. Brojeshori and Harina sustained injuries on their heads while Hanny was injured on her right foot.
They are all undergoing treatment at Advanced Hospital, Palace Compound and they are not in danger any more, the source added.
On the other hand, the storm also destroyed a furniture house at Lilong Chajing Awang Leikai.
