APSCS condoles

IMPHAL, May 14: The Association of Premiere State College Seniors (APSCS), Manipur held a meeting on May 11 chaired by its president K Chandradhan Singh, to condole the unti-mely demise of RK Sana- jaoba, retd Principal of DMC Science and former president of APSCS.
A press release issued by the association mentioned that members Dr O Kumar Singh, T Ibotombi Singh, H Jayant Kumar Singh, Dr K Nabachandra, Dr W Ibohal Singh, Dr H Madhusudan Singh, Dr S Gyaneshwor Singh, Dr AK Chisthi were present at the condolence meeting.
It continued that the meeting was convened soon after the passing away of RK Sanajaoba was learnt from a local daily, at his residence at Khoyathong on May 8 at the age of 87 after a protracted illness and added that one of the association members, Jayant Kumar Singh, when contacted by the general secretary of the association in the morning, also spoke of his visit to the bereaved family.
During the meeting, the members recalled late RK Sanajaoba and the years of their association with him before he left APSCS.
The association conveyed that RK Sanajaoba was an active teaching staff member of the Department of  Mathematics and was also involved in games and sports, exam/admission committee, NCC, DMC Alumni organisation and All Manipur Government College Teachers Association (AMGOCTA) activities.
He served at DM College of Science as Principal before he retired and he was elected as the first president of APSCS when it was founded in 2005.
During the meeting, H Jayant Kumar Singh, Dr K Nabachandra Singh and Dr AK Chisthi spoke about RK Sanajaoba.
A two minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect for the departed soul and the association also offered sympathies to the bereaved family members.
