Panthoibi FC in VSO Trophy quarter final after beating WALYDA 2-1

IMPHAL, May 15 : Panthoibi FC, Langthabal managed a 2-1 comeback win against WALYDA, Wabagai to seal a place in the quarter finals of the ongoing 5th VSO Trophy Cash Prize Soccer Tournament organised by Khongjom Circle Veteran Sports Organisation,  today at Tekcham HS Ground.
WALYDA were confident of making it to the quarter finals as Suresh handed the lead in the 13th minute of the game but Jimmynao of Panthoibi FC banged in the equaliser in the 36th minute before Lansingam completed the turnaround in the 45th minute with a fine shot. Panthoibi FC then held on to their lead till the final whistle and reserved their place in the last 8 round of the tournament.
