Young Boys emerge champions of Iputhou Pureiromba Cup

IMPHAL, May 15 : Young Boys, Pukhao defeated OFA, Pungdongbam by 2-1 goals today to win the title of the Iputhou Pureiromba Cup Soccer Tournament jointly organised by Eastern Lion Club, Nongada and Eastern Unique Club, Kameng.
N Raju hit the opener in the 18th minute to give Young Boys a 1-0 lead in the first half and L Naoba doubled their advantage in the 38th minute of the match.
OFA did well to pull back a goal in the 43rd minute through Phalguni but their latter effort to find the equaliser did not materialise and eventually OFA cruise to the title of the tournament.
