Jiribam Police, NYVA win in 9th Y Kesho Memorial Volleyball tourney

IMPHAL, May 15 : Jiribam Police and NYVA, Naorem emerged victorious in today's Super League Round matches of the ongoing 9th Y Kesho Memorial Volleyball Tournament organised by All Jiribam Sports Association under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Playground.
Jiribam Police set their sight on the final berth with a 3-1 sets win against KYLSC, Kachikhul in today's first match of the Super League Round. Jiribam Police went down fighting in the first set but redeemed themselves in the following sets to earn a 24-26, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23 win.
Meanwhile in the second match, NYCA Naorem conceded the second set to their super league round rivals YCGC, Chajing Konjeng Leikai before bouncing back and wrapped up the game 25-18, 18-25, 25-20, 25-18.
Jiribam Police will meet NYVA Naorem in the next match (super league round match) tomorrow at 2.30 pm while YCGC, Chajing Konjeng Leikai will play KYLSC, Kachikhun in the last super league round match latter at 3.30 pm.
