UVSA blank Langol FC 5-0 in 21st Challenge Cup

Imphal, May 16: UVSA (Paona), Lilong Chajing blanked Langol FC 5-0 in the ongoing 21st Challenge Cup at Khuman Lampak turf ground today.
In today's match, UVSA (Paona) decimated its opponent with superior footballing skill and made its presence felt with much improved performance in the field.
Fifth minute goal by N Rajesh gave UVSA the rousing start while N Gandhi doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute.
M Kiran then added one more goal five minutes later to make the lead 3-0.
N Gandhi further solidified the stand of UVSA by adding two more goals in the 41st and 50th minute to seal the match with massive 5-0 win.
Langol FC behaved just like a minnow with no game plan and the skills to take on the technically sound UVSA (Paona). Meanwhile, CYclone (A), Thangmeiband was awarded full points (3 points) with 3 goals as VFC (A), Singjamei did not turn up to play its respective match. UVSA (Thangal), Lilong Chajing will lock horn with IEVSA, Imphal East tomorrow in a Group C league match at 2 pm while cyclone (B), Thangmeiband will face FCYVA, Yumnam Khunou in another Group C league match at 3.30 pm.
