State Level Squash Rackets C'ship begins

IMPHAL, May 17 : The 5th Sub-Junior, Junior and Master and 7th Senior State Level Squash Rackets Championship 2019 has begun today at St Anthony School's court at Chingmeirong under the aegis of Manipur Squash Rackets Association.
The opening day of the championship saw beginning of competitions for Master, Junior Girls and Sub-Junior Boys.
Master
Shree Prakash, L Manoranjan and S Ashokumar were able to register wins in today's matches of the Master's competition. Shree Prakash eased to a 11-3, 11-6 win against T Pamei in the first match while L Manoranjan Roy carved out a 11-4, 7-11, 11-6 win against S Ashokumar in the second match.
S Ashokumar however made up his loss by beating T Pamei 11-8, 11-9 in the third match of the said competition.
Junior Girls
In the first match of the Junior Girls' Competition, M Linthoi has a good start at the championship as she strolled past Yashita Th 11-3, 11-2 in a very one sided match. Meanwhile in the second match, Kh Mirerva thrashed M Jayalakshmi 11-5, 11-9 before Yashita Th bounced back to earn a 11-3, 14-12 win and handed M Jayalakshmi another defeat.
Sub-Junior Boys
Hurbanash, Deepraj and Dinish were able to post their first wins in the sub-junior boys competition. Hurbanash earned a comfortable 11-5, 11-5 win against L Lanchenba while Deepraj L trounce T Derish 11-1, 11-4 in the second match. Dinish then secured a comprehensive 11-1, 11-7 win against L Lanchenba in the third match.
