Bolero FC oust Panthoibi FC 3-1 to reach VSO Trophy semis

IMPHAL, May 17 : Bolero FC outlasted Panthoibi FC by 3-1 goals in the first quarter final match of the 5th VSO Trophy 2019 which is underway at Tekcham High School Playground to book a place in the semi-finals at 3 pm today.
Bolero FC had most of the possession and scoring chances over Panthoibi FC and led the first half 2-1 before making it 3-1 at the end.
Loken of Bolero FC found the breakthrough just two minutes into the game and Jiteshor had his opportunity to double the team's lead in the 17th minute of the match. Panthoibi FC however pulled back a goal in the 26th minute  and made it 1-2 till the break.
Panthoibi FC made diligent effort in search of the equaliser in the second half but could not advance much as Bolero FC's defence were at their best after conceding a goal. Panthoibi FC's dream of drawing level was crushed in the latter part as Taj of Bolero FC did the finishing work in the 54th minute of the match.
TFC, Tekcham will meet Apunba FC in the next quarter final match tomorrow at 3 pm.
