TSA demands

Jiribam, May 19: The Thadou Students Association (TSA), Jiribam and Tamenglong branches have demanded to create a post of Thadou- Kuki subject and its inclusion as MIL subject in Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Jiribam, said statement issued by TSA.
Addressing the Education Minister, Government of Manipur, the TSA stated that there is a sizeable Thadou- Kuki population in Jiribam District and the community is very keen on preserving and promoting its cultural heritage. However, there is no educational facilities in Jiribam where the students of this community can study the Thadou- Kuki as MIL subject, said a statement of TSA. 
Saying that the students of their community are facing several hardship while trying to learn through Manipuri (Meitei Mayek) and English, it also appealed the concerned authority to create a post of Thadou- Kuki in Jiribam Higher Secondary School.
