Planted IED explodes

IMPHAL, May 20: A bomb suspected to be an IED exploded at the residential gate of one Maisnam Manikchand (45) of Phumlou Mamang Leikai, Imphal West district under Lamsang police station at around 7 pm today.
It is said that Manikchand is the Pradhan of Phumlou Gram Panchayat.
Even though there was no casualty in the blast, its impact was felt inside the house of Manikchand.
A case has been registered at Lamsang police station in connection with the blast.
