BDVFA, KVFC emerge victorious in 21st Challenge Cup

IMPHAL, May 20: BDVFA, Bishnupur and KVFC, Konthoujam continued their fine runs at the ongoing 21st Challenge Cup by securing wins in their respective league matches (Group D) today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
BDVFA, Bishnupur earned yet another win in the league stage beating VSO, Khongjam Circle by 2-1 margin today. Kirankumar shone in the match scoring twice including the opener in the 23rd and the 55th minute for BDVFA while Sh Tilak netted the solitary goal for the Khongjom side in the 55th minute.
Meanwhile in the second match of the day, Ch Anandkumar took the centre stage by scoring four goals alone including the opener (9', 31', 28', 39') to hand KVFC a huge 6-1 win against Ching-Tam, Sangakpham. The other goals of the winning side came  from the feet of M Bishworjit (14') and Neipu Kom (25').
Ching-Tam on the other hand grabbed the consolation goal in the 43rd minute of the match through Nogen.
AVFA, Akampat and AMBA, Cheirap Court will meet in a group E league match tomorrow at 2 pm while NCVFC, Churachandpur will play FC Eimi, Game Village in a Group B league match latter at 3.30 pm.
