IE Dist Men's Volleyball PRSC, RYC, SWECA triumph

IMPHAL, May 20: PRSC, Pourabi; RYC, Keibi and SWECA, Thiyam Konjin earned full points against their respective rivals at the 2nd Imphal East District Men's Volleyball Tournament, 2019 being organised by Pourabi Rising Star Club under the aegis of Imphal East District Volleyball Association at its court since May 19.
A total of 8 teams clubbed in two groups are competing for top honours.
In the first match of the day (Group B league match), PRSC prevailed MYDC, Morok Ingkhol in straight sets (25-15, 26-24, 25-16) to kick of their campaign in style.
RYC, Keibi on the other hand sealed a 3-2 sets win against 7 Star
to earn full points in a roller coaster Group A clash.
7 Star managed to break RYC's lead twice (in the second and the fourth set) but the latter were more determined in the deciding set and eventually finished the game 25-23, 21-25, 25-15, 15-25, 15-3.
Meanwhile in the second Group B league match of the day, SWECA lost the first two sets but made an impressive comeback to beat MTT, Andro 23-25, 15-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-9.
Yesterday in the opening match (Group A), AMYC, Andro beat NNCK, Nongren by 3-1 sets (23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-23).
