Anti-terrorism day

IMPHAL, May 21 : Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee organised Anti Terrorism Day by observing the 28th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Congress Bhavan, BT Road today.
CLP leader as well as former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president Gaikhangam led the Congress MLAs, former MLAs, party officials, in paying floral tributes to the photo of the late Prime Minister.
Speaking at the event, Okram Ibobi said that the party members are paying homage to the late Prime Minister of the country by organising the occasion.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi was a leader who advocated peace and tranquillity in India and with its neighbouring countries, but he suffered a tragic death which left the people devastated and heartbroken.
