HC sets aside

IMPHAL, May 22 : A Division Bench of the High Court of Manipur today quashed and set aside the appointment of Professor K Yugindro as Pro Vice Chancellor Manipur University by then VC Professor AP Pandey on September 10, 2018 by allowing the Writ Petition(c ) challenging his appointment as Pro VC.
The judgment was passed by Justice Lanusukum Jamir and Justice Kh Nobin in connection with a number of PILs and writ petitions filed before the Court after it was kept reserved on 26 April.
PILs of Chongtham Nimai, Retired Lecturer of Johnstone Higher Secondary School, Hemanta Kumar Ningomba, Editor Sanaleibak and the Writ Petition of then VC Professor Aday Prasad Pandey, Professor Amar Yumnam before the High Court were compiled together as one for passing a common order.
