NPP congratulates Modi

SHILLONG, May 23: President of the National People's Party (NPP), Conrad K Sangma has conveyed his congratulations to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for what he has termed as a ‘splendid’ performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections, results of which were declared on Thursday.
“I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Nardendra Modi for his splendid performance in this election as it has certified the leadership quality that he has and the people of India have once again repose their faith in his leadership,” Conrad said. Stating that it is a great moment for the people of the country as a whole, he said, “Under his leadership, the NDA has emerged victorious and we have got more seats than what was expected as it was more than what we got last time.”
Conrad also attributed this victory to the faith that people have in all the regional parties and other political allies of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
“Therefore, we assure the people that we will continue to work with the same spirit that we did in the past,” Conrad said.
