Thoubal media decries

THOUBAL, May 23:  Media persons are alleging that Thoubal DC Haobam Rosita is intentionally trying to withhold the poll results from the media persons.
Even though the vote counting at Thoubal DC office began from 8 am, media persons were allegedly barred from entering or collecting the news which made it impossible to disseminate election related information to the public on time.
The correspondent reported that accommodation for media persons is arranged at a newly constructed building just adjacent to the SBI building located inside the DC complex.
However, the media persons could not go out and collect news and none of the DC staff came to give the counting results either.
Even the DIO Thoubal and staff found it difficult to go and collect election counting results/information.
As such, the media persons had to be content with nothing to do except watch news on the TV installed inside the room where they are staying.
