Rohan Philem ready for another tour from Kashmir to Kanyakumari

IMPHAL, May 24: Famed cyclist, Rohan Philem is ready for another tour from Kashmir to Kanyakumari raising awareness about the importance of clean drinking water and sanitaion.
Rohan will start his tour from June 12 covering 4,500 kms.
The lad from Moirang Philem Leikai, Bishnupur district, has already ventured on several tours on different themes covering 22 States cycling a total distance of approximately 10,000 kms since January 2018.
A student of the Sharda University, Roshan said that the planned tour from Kashmir to Kanyakumari will be organised with the assistance of the university.
He will visit slums and outskirts of town and villages along the way and spread awareness about clean drinking water and sanitation. The journey will be documented also, said Rohan speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Imphal today.
The ride will also create awareness about degrading environment and encourage cycling to mitigate rising green house gases, he added.
The journey will take about three and half months, Rohan said.
