NPF hails win of Lorho Pfoze

DIMAPUR, May 24 :  Naga People’s Front (NPF) president, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and party rank and file congratulated its NPF official candidate, Lorho S Pfoze for winning "a thumping victory" in the outer Manipur parliamentary seat declared on May 23 "besides all odds and setting a record" for the NPF to have ever won the Lok Sabha seat in Manipur.
The Central headquarter of the NPF then expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the voters of the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituency for reposing their faith and voted for its candidate.
The party also thanked all the party rank and file and all the leaders who had "immensely" contributed their support and sacrifices for the victory of Lorho S Pfose.
In Nagaland, though the NPF had not set up its official candidature supported the "secular" Congress candidate KL Chishi who was defeated with a narrow margin. "Due to the efforts and support put forth by each and every NPF party rank and file and all the leaders, the NDPP candidate Tokheho Yepthomi have a tough marginal win," said the NPF.
 The party then thanked all the party rank and file, particularly the sitting NPF MLAs and the 2018 NPF official candidate "for their efforts and sacrifices" during the election in supporting the NPF backed Congress candidate.
The NPF also expressed its gratitude to all the Congress party workers and leaders for coming together and "gave a spirited fight against the ruling PDA candidate".
Meanwhile, the NPF congratulated the newly elected MP, Tokheho Yepthomi for winning the lone parliamentary seat of Nagaland and wished him the best in carrying out the aspirations of the Naga people at Centre.
