Cleanliness drive held ahead of June 18

IMPHAL, May 26 : In connection with the coming 18th Great June Uprising Unity Day, Nongchup Imphal Palem Ima Apunba Lup (NIMPAL) volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive at  Kekrupat and its surrounding areas today.
It may be mentioned that AMUCO and UCM have been observing the event every year following the June 18, 2001 incident which led to the death of 18 people as a result of the Bangkok Declaration signed between the NSCN (IM) and the Central Government on June 14 the same year. Other CSOs will also be organising cleanliness drive in the site.
