ABVP to hold first Imphal unit open GK competition

IMPHAL, May 26
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Imphal Unit will organise the first Imphal Unit open general knowledge competition 2019, for students from class I to XII (from all streams), on June 7.
A press release issued by the city secretary of ABVP Imphal today mentioned that the competition will be held at the respective schools and the syllabus will be limited to current affairs, history of Manipur (Pakhangba to Budhachandra Maharaj), ancient Indian history, geography (upto class X standard), literature (Indian and Manipuri), general information technology, general science and general mathematics.
The first three toppers will be selected from each school and among the school toppers, the highest three scorers will be again declared as the Imphal unit GK competitor winner, it added.
School level winners will be given incentive prizes while the Imphal unit toppers will be given cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 4000 and Rs 3000 respectively while those from 4th to 10th position will be given Rs 1000 with certificate each.
It further explained that the main objective of the competition is to enhance knowledge about current affairs among the students and encouraged all eligible and interested students to participate in the competition.
