IMPHAL, Jun 16: Meetei Leepul has warned that it will take up necessary action against those elected representatives involved in the present political crisis in case President Rule is imposed in the State.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Oinam Dhaneshor, spokesperson of Meetei Leepul said that the members of the association thoroughly discussed the present crisis faced by the State Government.
He said that without a stable Government, no development will take place as nothing can proceed if the Government is at a stand still.
The State was full of issues like bandhs and blockades, rapes, extra judicial killings and a gap between the hills and valley in the past but after the formation of the present Government some two and half years back, the people began witnessing some positive developments like the gradual bridging of the gap between hills and valley and the State became peaceful due to the stability of the present Government.
However, due to the present leadership crisis, there is an apprehension that the State will return to its past which was full of issues, he said.
He further said that the present crisis faced by the State Government is an internal matter and appealed to all those concerned not to bring out their internal issues to the public domain.
If President Rule is imposed in the State due to the present crisis then Meetei Leepul will not remain silent and take up action against those behind the present crisis.
