PIL disposed

IMPHAL, Jun 18: Disposing a PIL which was filed for establishing primary schools at Langkhongching village, Rilram village and Choktang village of Tengnoupal district, Division Bench (comprising of Chief Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice Lunusungkum Jamir) High Court of Manipur, on June 3, directed the authorities concerned to take up suitable measures on or before November 29 (2019) regarding the same and also directed all the officers of the Education Department to cooperate in effective implementation of the provision for the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. The PIL was filed by one Momo Tantanga of Kambang Khunou through his counsel against the State of Manipur represented by Chief Secretary, Manipur, Principal Secretary/Commissioner, Education (S), Director, Education (S), Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal District, Chief Executive Officer, Autonomous District Council, Chandel and Zonal Education Officer, Tengnoupal District, as respondents
During the hearing of the PIL, the Court heard the submission of petitioner’s counsel K Aaron and Advocate General N Kumarjit for the respondents.
