Old Age Home observes 8th foundation day

IMPHAL, Jun 18 : Old Age Home has observed its 8th foundation day at its premises at Arubam Ingkhol, Mongshangei Makha Leikai, here, today.
The observance organised by the managing committee of All Manipur Senior Citizens' Welfare Association (AMSCWA), Mongshangei Makha Leikai,Imphal was presided by the president of AMSCWA, L Gourachandra Sarma.
Seniormost member of AMSCWA, N Bijoykumar Singh, former Principal, DM College  of Commerce and seniormost female veteran  athlete, S Sanahanbi Devi, land donor, AK Ingobi Singh and Proprietor, Hotel Tampha (pond donor), K Irabot Singh also attended the programme as dais members.
Speaking as the chief  guest of the event, N Bijoykumar Singh first prayed for the wellbeing of the elders who are taking shelter in the old age home.
Though old age is the time of lives where one need love and care from their sons and daughter, many elders are ignored by their own wards and are taking shelter in the old age home, he said.
Lauding the home for providing shelter to the hapless senior citizens, he wished them all the very best in their future endeavours.
During the observance, floral tributes were paid to the portraits of formers presidents of AMSCWA and  feted Th Yoihenba, who secured 12th position in the recently declared Class XII examination conducted by COHSEM, by giving cash prize and certificate of appreciation to his parents.
