LASHAL emerge champions of ESO Football tournament

IMPHAL, Jun 30 : LASHAL, Leimapokpam were crowned champions of 8th State Level ESO Football Tournament organized by Education Social Organization (ESO) Club, Bamdiar Makha Leikai at its playground after they beat RFC, Khamnam Leirak by 3-1 goals in the final match staged today.
Dayanda did the star turn in this match scoring twice for LASHAL including the opener, in the 35th and the 53rd match while Pritam netted the other goal in the 60th minute.
The lone goal for the losing side was scored by Sobha in the 55th minute of the match.
Best Defender of the tournament, Dhananjoy of RFC; best goalkeeper, Joy of LASHAL; top scorer, Kishan of RFC; best midfielder, Imran Khan of LASHAL, best player, Sobha of RFC and best disciplined team, A2 Patsoi were feted along with the winners which received Rs 50,000 and runners up which got Rs 30,000  during the valedictory function of the tournament.
