Disaster management training held

Thoubal, Jul 10: Disaster Management Institute - Relief & Disaster Management Department organised a one day training programme on Chouyaima Higher Secondary School, Thoubal today.
Speaking at the event, State Disaster Response Force Manipur's Sub Team Officer cum Commander  O Achouba pointed out the need for disaster management training in the State. As the State is located in earthquake zone, people should be made aware of the various measures and  procedures to be followed during major disasters to save lives, he said.
The training programmes being held in 20 schools, he said.
Experts demonstrated various measures and procedures to be followed during disasters. Principal of the school L Damodar and student union advisor W Johny attended the event.
