Farmers get water pumps

BISHNUPUR, Jul 11: With the State getting sluggish monsoon rain, farmers of Moirang AC today received five pump sets from the Govt with the assistance of local MLA P Saratchandra.
BJP workers of the constituency distributed the five water pump sets of 5 horsepower to farmers of Phubala Loukon, Sunusiphai Loukon, Naranseina Loukon, Thamnapokpi Loukon and Terakhongshangbi Loukon at their respective places.
BJP Moirang Mandal secretary Ngangom Basanta Singh lauded the local MLA and said that the water pumps will immensely benefit the farmers.
Farmers in many parts of the State are facing water scarcity and is hindering seed sowing.
