Shehri Samridhi Utsav Mela begins at Jiribam

Jiribam, Jul 12: Shehri Samridhi Utsav Mela, which will be organized for two days by Manipur Urban Development Agency (MUDA), Imphal, was thrown opened today by Minister MAHUD, Th Shyamkumar at Jiri Ima Keithel followed by an opening function of the said mela at the Auditorium Hall of Multi-Utility Complex, Jiribam. The two-days mela saw participation from different self-help groups erecting 41 stalls to showcase their products.
The minister also inspected the condition of old Jiri bazar during his visit.
Apart from Minister MAHUD, Th Shyamkumar, the opening ceremony for 'Shehri Samridhi Utsav Mela' held at the Auditorium Hall of Multi Utility Complex, Jiribam was attended by S Shanti Devi, Chairperson, Jiribam Municipal Council (JMC); Th Harikumar Singh, MMAS, Director, MAHUD, Manipur; K Sarat Kumar Singh, Vice-Chairman, Manipur Food and Industries Corporation Ltd as presidium members.
The opening ceremonial function began with the lighting of lamp by the presidium members while M Nanao Singh, Deputy Secretary, MUDA delivered the welcome speech.
As part of the opening function, loan worth Rs 1,35,000 were also distributed to the Self Help Group, individual etc.
