Kpi police construct public toilet at New Keithelmanbi

KANGPOKPI, Jul 12: In a good move toward humanitarian service, the men in uniform at New Keithelmanbi Police Station under Kangpokpi District built a hygienic public toilet in front of its Police Station for public convenience.
The public toilet constructed solely by the efforts of OC New Keithelmanbi Police Station and his men was inaugurated today by SDPO Kangpokpi, Sony Siam Go Sang, MPS.
IPS Hemant Pandey, Superintendent of Police Kangpokpi appreciated the humanitarian efforts and the good work of his men at New Keithelmanbi while highlighting the necessity of public toilet not only for convenience but also for public health and well being.
He said that the efforts of New Keithelmanbi police personnel in constructing public toilet will also create a new normal where everyone understands the importance of toilets and uses them while avoiding open defecation which is an age old practice that is seen as ‘normal’ in many communities.
The district police chief also said that more efforts will be exerted towards community services in Kangpokpi District Headquarters as well with the cooperation of the local people to promote sanitary and hygienic living.
