Ukhrul all set for emergency response

Ukhrul, Jul 12: The Deputy Commissioner in-charge, Kajaigai Gangmei has instructed all the SDOs of Ukhrul district to be stationed in their respective block and further informed to SP, Ukhrul EE (PWD) and OC 84 RCC (GREF) to stay alert and be prepared for immediate responses for any emergency services in the district.
The above instruction was made following the reports from Relief & Disaster Management Dept, about the possibility of very heavy rainfall in the State tomorrow which can cause flood or landslide in some isolated places.
As per the meteorological Dept, very heavy rainfall is likely to hit Manipur, which might witness unexpected incidents at different locations.
A separate room attached to DC's office were open for 24x7 emergency services, reports our correspondent.
Any individual can contact to the office through 7085704209 or to the respective SDOs in case of any natural calamities due to incessant rainfall, it added.
