Medical camp held at Kha Potshangbam

BISHNUPUR, Jul 14: In continuation of the series of health camp organised by Lamyanba Health Care Service Porompat at remote areas where there is minimal availability of health care services, a one day medical camp was organised by Kha Potshangbam Makha Leikai community hall today.
The medical camp was organised by Lamyanba Health Care Service in collaboration with Nachou Zilla Parishad  and Nancy Diagnostic RIMS road in which Nachou Zilla Parishad Member Th Dillip Meitei distributed 48 health cards to the beneficiaries.
A team of medical staff including Dr Yengkhom Sanatomba, Dr N Dayananda and Dr Ch James attended to over 300 individuals.
Meanwhile, necessary tests including Liver function test, Lipid Profile and Sugar were conducted apart from providing medicines for free of cost, reports our correspondent.
Speaking at that gathering, Nachou Zilla Parishad Member Th Dillip Meitei maintained that the health camp was organised with a view to help those who live in far flung areas but also to give up the habit of buying medicines over the counter without conducting test or consulting a doctor.
While, Lamyanba Health Care marketing in charge Premjit said that Lamyanba Health Care has been initiating  necessary steps in rendering benefits to the public through a health card.
The card gives certain discounts at the State's renowned heath centres by charging only Rs 249 for membership fee, he added.
He assured to take up such welfare initiatives at various other locations in the near future.
