3 cadres arrested in joint operation conducted by combined team of CDO Moreh and 43 AR Moreh

Tengnoupal, Jul 15: A combined team of Moreh CDO led by DSP-CDO/Moreh Thomas Thokchom and OC-CDO/Moreh Subedar K Ibungobi Singh, under the command of Addl SP Robinsun Khamnam and under the supervision of  SP, Tpl Th Vikramjit, along with a column of 43 AR of Moreh arrested two cadres of KCP (Noyon) from Dalpati area of Moreh yesterday at around  5.30 pm.
The arrested cadres were identified as Irom Raju Singh (army no 539) alias Kiyamba (19) s/o Irom Robindro Singh of Chandrakhong, Thoubal district and Ningthoujam Mahesh (army no 524) alias Pibathoi (20) s/o Ningthoujam Dinesh Singh of Yairipok Bishnunaha, Thoubal district.
Later, upon receiving information of a presence of another UG at Haolenphai village, the team rushed to the spot  and arrested Asem Anil Kumar (army no 2438) alias Silngamba (25) s/o Asem Jiten of Wankhei Meihoubam Lampak, Imphal East district.
All of the arrested cadres were handed over to Moreh PS.
It may be mentioned that after the killing of one cadre of a Kuki militant group under Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with the government, security forces have been agressively pursuing unwanted elements in the border town. This operation has acted as a bulwark to the effort of underground groups to increase their activities in the town at recent times.
