I-Day tourneys organised at Singngat, Thanlon

CCPUR, Aug 16: With the country observing its 73rd Independence Day on Thursday, Independence Day tourney was organised at the subdivisional headquarters of Singngat and Thanlon with the tournament culminating on the day's afternoon before a handsome attendance by their respective standards.
At Singngat MK Thomas ground, local MLA GS Haupu graced the final match and announced 1.5 crore financial assistance for the development of the playground. At the culminating match, Khallai FC beat the other finalists Hih Hiuhiau FC with a margin of 4-2 to lift the subdivision's most coveted trophy.
Meanwhile at Thanlon sub divisional headquarters, the Independence Day trophy was lifted by Douthang Memorial FC by thrashing Milongmun YC with 3-0 scoreline. Thanlon MDC Th Jamchinthang graced the event as the chief guest and handed over the trophy and other individual awards.
