5 from State in Indian Wushu Team for Asian C'ship

IMPHAL, Aug 16
Wushu Association of Manipur (WAM) has extended best wishes to 5 players from the State who have been named in the Indian team for participation in the 10th Junior Asian Championship to be held at Brunei from August 17 to 25.
The players who have been selected in the Indian team are Y Echantombi, Ng Kajal Chanu, M Malemnganba Singh, L Nelson and O Malemnganbi Devi. The team have left New Delhi for the championship on August 14.
Meanwhile a press release of WAM, informed that its executive council meeting, which was earlier scheduled on July 31 and postponed, will now be held on August 18 from 7.30 am at its Brahmapur Nahabam office.
The technical officials and State junior team who will participate in the 18th Junior National Wushu Championship due to be held at Chandigarh from September 15 to 20, 2019 and other will be the agenda of the meeting, it said.
