TYDA thump RAFA 4-1 to win 1st Sub-Jr Boys Inter Club Football title

IMPHAL, Aug 18 : TYDA eased to a 4-1 win against RAFA in the final clash today at Football Turf Ground Khuman Lampak to win the 1st Sub Junior Boys Inter Club Football Tournament organised by All Manipur Football Association.
TYDA were leading the first half 2-1 with Th Sanathoi and S Sagar finding the target after RAFA broke the deadlock with the help of L Lanchenba in the 9th minute of the match and took an early lead. Th Sanathoi fired home the equaliser in the 19th minute of the match before S Sagar overturned the lead to the TYDA's favour ten minutes latter as they worked relentlessly to keep the RAFA defence busy.
Buoyed by two back to back goals, TYDA continued to dominate the possession and pile up more pressure on RAFA with dangerous runs along both flanks and  in the midfield as the second half resumed and off such one move, Langanglung who was eagerly waiting for a way through connected to the team third goal in the 59th minute making the scoreline read 3-1.
 RAFA who were already left in the lurch, conceded an own goal with S Sushil netting into his own net to compound their own misery and TYDA thus became the eventual winners with 4-1 margin.
W Benarjit of TYDA was yellow carded by the referee in the 70th minute of the match.
