Sunsilk Mega Miss North-East winner Melody hopes to be positive influence on every girl

The 'honour' of representing the State in the Sunsilk Mega Miss North East and winning the pageant crown has 'reaffirmed my passion of being a role model for every girl and give them positive influence,' said Langpoklakpam Melody who recently won the pageant in Guwahati.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club Imphal, Melody, who is pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Education, said, “I am truly overwhelmed! People of Manipur have welcomed me with open arms and open hearts. Most importantly, the spark of pride that I see in my parents’ eyes gives me the strength to work even harder. I strongly believe that destiny has something planned for everyone.”
"I believe that Sunsilk Mega Miss North East will help me fulfil what I am passionate about,” she said hoping that her success in the pageant will also inspire others to follow and work for women empowerment.
Winner of the title of Garnier Men Mega Mister North East, Lukanand Kshetrimayum, who was also present during the press meet, said that the journey to success has entrusted him with responsibilities to motivate his peers.
A Class-XII student of Maria Montessori Senior Secondary School, Lukanand Ksh said that there is lot of potential among the youth of the State to get the stage they desire and become successful. "I will be more than happy to guide them if they have the passion," he said expressing his desire to achieve fame in the National and international platforms.
It may be noted that Lukanand had also won the title of Mister International India 2019 qualifying him to represent India in the Mister International pageant.
Lukanand had won the Garnier Men Mega Mister North East along with Jonathan Thangeo of Mizoram and Sonam Paul Tenzing Bhutia from Sikkim. L Melody shares the  Sunsilk Mega Miss North East title with Tanvi Raksam Marak of Meghalaya and Rajeswari Chakraborty of Sikkim.
Abhijit Singha, founder of Mega Entertainment-which organised the events, said that Mega Mister North East is continuing since 2009, and Mega Miss North East, since 2003.
The main aim of organizing the Mega Miss & Mister North East pageants is to prove that young talents in the North-East are no less competent than their counterparts from top metro cities of the country, he said wishing all winners grand success in their future endeavours.
