WAFA , NC Club victorious in IW 1st Divn League

IMPHAL, Aug 19 :  WAFA, Wangoi conceded an own goal after an early lead but made their way back to beat GC-CRPF 2-1 while NC Club, Khonghampat sealed a slender 1-0 lead against SCK through an own goal in today's matches of the ongoing 26th L Sangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League organised by Imphal West District Football Association at Football Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.
WAFA took off the game on a positive note with Pamel striking the opener in the 24th minute to make it 1-0 till the break but an own goal by Borish in the 39th minute forced the score level at 1-1 making the competition wide open. WAFA however retained the lead in the 42nd minute through Kherison before holding the lead till the final whistle.
In another match played earlier, SCK's N Premjit scored into his own net in the 41st minute after a barren first half to help NC Club earn a 1-0 win.
