Moreh CSOs resolve to call 48 hrs bandh from Aug 21

Condemning the alleged atrocity meted out by the personnel of 43 AR at Moreh Gate no 1, Hills Tribal Council ; Kuki Women Union and Human Rights; Kuki Students' Organisation ; Moreh Youth Club and All Moreh Traders Association have resolved to call 48 hours bandh from 5 am of August 21 to 5 am of August 23.
A joint statement issued by the aforementioned organisations said that hindrance and harassment meted out by the 43 AR, passage of normal commodities through the gate has become a standstill for the past few weeks.
It further cautioned that if nothing concrete solution fails to come up before the expiry of the bandh, the CSOs and All Moreh Traders Association will launch different forms of agitations. However, electricity, medical, water supply and religious rites shall be exempted from the purview of the bandh, it informed.
