FEW, Jiribam plants tree saplings at Jiri College

Jiribam, Aug 19: Friendly Environmental Warriors' (FEW), Jiribam in association with Jiri College Employee Association, Jiribam jointly organized a tree plantation drive at Jiri College today.
The programme was attended by K Sarat Kumar Singh, Vice-Chairman, Manipur Food Industries Corporation Ltd, GoM and M Romeo Singh, Advisor, FEW, Jiribam as chief guest and functional president respectively.
Regarding the programme, M Romeo Singh, Advisor FEW Jiribam expressed gratitude to the management of Jiri College for allowing to conduct the plantation drive in association with Jiri College Employee Assn and Jiri College staff.
He also dwelt on the motive of establishing FEW Jiribam while urging the public of the region to extend support in making Jiribam a green district among others.
In his chief guest speech, K Sarat Kumar Singh, Vice-Chairman, Manipur Food Industries Corporation Ltd, GoM lauded members of FEW Jiribam and staff of Jiri College for planting tree saplings which is in line with 'Green Mission' initiated under the leadership of CM N Biren Singh adding all possible help will be extended to FEW Jiribam to bring a green revolution in Jiribam.
Gen Secy, Jiri College Employee Assn, L Jaminikanta Singh said that the tree plantation drive was conducted at Jiri College in association with FEW Jiribam as part of the mission to make Jiribam a green district by planting bamboo tree on mass scale under 'Manipur Green Mission'. He also appreciated Jiribam Forest Office for supplying the tree saplings for today's campaign.
