UDID card distributed

TENGNOUPAL, Aug 19 : Under the supervision of Ministry of Social Justice Empowerment GoI, a distribution ceremony of Unique Disability Identity Card (UDID) for Tengnoupal District began today at Primary Health Centre, Moreh.
At the event, State Nodal Officer, UDID Social Welfare Department, L Dhaneshwor Singh said that the project is being implemented with a view of creating a database for Persons with Disability (PwDs) and to issue a Unique Disability Identity Card to each person with disabilities.
On the opening day, the certificate was handed over to one elderly woman Lakiya Begum.
The launching programme was also attended by CMO Tengnoupal, Dr Lalthari Hmar; District Social Welfare Officer, Tengnoupal, W Themapati Devi and MO (ic) PHC Moreh, Dr Santikumar; as the presidium members.
